Orbiting in space seems more exciting but Moon brings in a regretful impression. Perhaps, the Lunatic Hotel idea will serve up it all with stunning views scattered with joys of low seriousness and an alien feeling. Designer Hans-Jorgen Rombaut of the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture in the Netherlands is quite optimistic to complete the dream project by 2050.
The ’consciousness engine’, as the designer calls it, will allow tourists to treat in low-gravity sports event with the help of two 160-meters high
sloping towers. The towers will be ready with teardrop-shaped ‘habitation capsules’ which will serve as spacecraft like suits for tourists.The 50-cms bulky hull made of Moon rock and layers holding water will protect
inhabitants from the harsh lunar environment including extreme temperatures and fatal celestial rays and solar particles. If the whole concept comes out successful, we can expect a real lunar village too.
